This is Claire. She is an unbelievable dancer and I always LOVE photographing her! I just watched Benjamin Button and could not help but jot this down. I loved this movie beyond words! Incredible messages all the way through, but this message fits perfect with Claire and the person/dancer that she is.
Some people were born to sit by a river. Some get struck by lightning. Some have an ear for music. Some are artists. Some swim. Some know buttons. Some know Shakespeare. Some are mothers. And some people….Dance.

This is Baby Will. He is an amazing blessing to his parents who had to wait very patiently for his arrival. I told Mom he would be worth the wait and he CERTAINLY was. I think he is too pretty to be a boy if you ask me. See for yourself…

And isn’t his Mommy BEAUTIFUL!!!

This is mom’s knitting basket(she is an amazing knitter) and she loved this blanket at the studio because of all of the yarn, so we captured some of him in that.
Last one for now. Dad brought some of his favorite old fishing gear and this is what we came up with. It took a little bit of patience but we got the shots. So cool!

Jill and Ed, Thank you for sharing Will with Cassie and I today at the studio. We loved hanging out with you and getting to work with your incredible new family.
P.S. Ed, I am so bummed I did not get that little out take today. It is still making me snicker as I sit here and work.
P.S.S. To check out Jill’s work please go to Knitterella
Take care!

I LOVED working with this couple. She was adorable and he was halarious. They were super cute together and very HAPPY. I think he may have even talked me in to doing their wedding and I don’t do weddings. Hmmmm…We shall see. Anyhow, I had a great time photographing them. We were originally just doing a studio session but decided to go outside for a few since it was nice out. I only wish he had his Harley there for those. I believe that it will be at the wedding though(partially why I am considering the whole thing. Well, that and the sailboat) (wink wink). Anyhow, we have lots but I wanted to give them a few to see so here they are. Enjoy!

This 15 year old beauty was just so sweet to work with and her mom was such a hoot. She let me do my THING and brought some pretty cool photos of her and her mom when she turned 15 and had her quinceanera photos taken. Mom really wanted a different twist on the typical quinceanera portrait session. So, this is what we came up with.
Mom was just so happy to be there and complimentary of the studio and my work. I was beyond flattered to work with them and really did not want them to leave. It is interacting with people like them that remind me how much I LOVE WHAT I DO! Thank you for making my day ladies. You were both wonderful!

One Year…
I cannot believe it! It seems like I just completed her newborn session. She looks so different to me from her newborn photos. This is the babe of a great friend of mine. I have been photographing them for many years now. They had to wait patiently before being blessed with these little ones so it is even more exciting to get my hands on them. I have to say that little Karlie gave me a RUN FOR MY MONEY or should I say THEIR MONEY. Anyhow, there are several and since Karlie was a bit GUN SHY throughout the session I just wanted to show mom a few so she would not worry. Oh….and her clothes were to die for. Very good choice mom….and Grandma Diane.

And my personal favorite MOMENT from the day. This is what she would do everytime mom would move from her side.

I am nursing a bit of strep throat today and trying to get well before I leave town again on Thursday. I came across this quote and fell in love with what it really meant. I just thought I would keep it short and sweet today. I LOVE THIS!
“Destiny is no matter of chance. It is a matter of choice: It is not a thing to be waited for, it is a thing to be achieved.” ~ William Jennings Bryan

Just wanted to share one of these for now from yesterday’s session. He was such a little sweetie! We tried several things with this special glove of Dad’s and this is what I came up with. I love how it turned out and know that it was important to him so hopefully he loves the image as much as I do.

I thought I would share a few images from some of my sessions in Phoenix a few weeks ago. I had a blast there and the weather was unbelievable. I loved photographing this family and will be heading back to Phoenix before long for more sessions.
This is the Moore Family. I photographed them about 5 years ago when I was in Phoenix and since then the girls have grown into beautiful young women and mom still looks younger than ever.
