I have been MIA lately and seriously neglecting the blog lately. My apologies in advance as it will probably get worse. The studio is ramping up for our crazy Senior season. In the midst of our high school seniors I get the frequent opportunity to photograph our stunning newborn families.
This mom and dad were so in love with Baby Gavin and each other as you can see in the images. I had a great time photographing them and was able to feed my maternal itch by spending several hours with Sweet Gavin. Life is getting easier by the day as my three little ones grow and become more self-sufficient all the time. However, once in a while I want another little one to snuggle. Then I snap back into reality and remember how those days are done and I get to move into the next stage of the growing years which is quite exciting.
Sylvia and Ryan, thank you for spending your day with us at the studio and hopefully you are pleased with what was captured as a result. You were both so great to work with. We will see you soon.

I have been playing catch up and have not really had a chance to blog away lately but wanted to take a break and blog this beautiful baby from just before Christmas. Little Miss Ava is a stunner with a head of hair that was to die for. I loved working with this great couple and seeing their excitement for this new little miracle. I also enjoyed how completely calm and serene Mamma was. She seems perfectly content with being a new mommy. It is hard to believe Ava is their first. They look like Pros already.
Have a great day!

I am kind of sharing these images a bit after the fact since I already posted Baby Jack’s Newborn Pictures a little over a month ago. I had to though because I adore them and this family. She was a beautiful pregnant mommy and as you can see from these images their love for each other and excitement for this baby is quite obvious.
Just look at how Jeremy looks at Kate. That is how every man should look at the women sacrificing of herself, her sleep, her figure, her every waking thought and her memory (or was it just me who seemed to forget everything?) for 9 months and beyond to bless them with the amazing gift of a child.
Kate is also a graphic designer who is starting to do a few things for NKP Studio on the side as she continues her great graphic design work for tons of other business in this area and beyond.
I also love that her mom came to be a part of the session. I do not think I have ever had someone do that in their maternity session before and it was really cool to see them really make this a family event. As someone who lost her mom way before I should have, I only wish I had thought to do this. Again, it shows the importance of documenting our families, our children, our parents and our grandparents.
A little insight to Kate’s mom and what I found out after Kate’s maternity session regarding why it was so very important to them to have her be a part of the session. Over the past several months she has been fighting for her life and trying to overcome Breast Cancer. She has had a double mastectomy and is now fighting her way through chemotherapy. Her cancer was found from an annual mammogram on both sides. K & J’s Maternity photos were taken before her mom’s chemo started and the newborn photos were taken 1 week after her first round of chemo. Her Journey will not be an easy one but after meeting and working with her, I know she will not let it keep her down. She is doing awesome and is a perfect example of how you can fight, endure and SURVIVE this.
It was truly a pleasure working with every single one of them.
XOXO,
~N
