Here is Mr. Monte (or at least we think)….we are not sure yet as to what we are going to name him. We are giving it a few days but we certainly think he looks like a Monte. We are completely SMITTEN over him. However, I am quite sleepy today. I already stay up way to late this time of year trying to complete our MANY orders in time for the holidays, but this little guy kept me up most of the night. You don’t really hear a peep out of him during the day unless he can’t find you. However, he is not loving our first attempts at the crate. So, of course he slept in our bed last night curled up on our necks, our faces and buried in our armpits.
After losing our Yellow Lab Tucker about 6 weeks ago, we have been visiting this little guy and his mates about once a week for the same amount of time. He is now 7 weeks old and we got to bring him home yesterday. HE COMPLETELY ROCKS! The kids were surprised at school yesterday when we got to bring him home early. I just wanted to share him with all of you. Thanks for all the kind words about our Lab Tucker. We did not want to wait to get another one. We switched breeds this time and got a Golden Retriever. Isn’t he the cutest? Please excuse the Purple Mums. Yes, he is a boy but I had to do it. He just looked too darn cute in there and it kept him contained. Just another little adder to our already crazy life. What the heck, while it is crazy…we will just keep it crazy!
Have a great day!

I am kind of sharing these images a bit after the fact since I already posted Baby Jack’s Newborn Pictures a little over a month ago. I had to though because I adore them and this family. She was a beautiful pregnant mommy and as you can see from these images their love for each other and excitement for this baby is quite obvious.
Just look at how Jeremy looks at Kate. That is how every man should look at the women sacrificing of herself, her sleep, her figure, her every waking thought and her memory (or was it just me who seemed to forget everything?) for 9 months and beyond to bless them with the amazing gift of a child.
Kate is also a graphic designer who is starting to do a few things for NKP Studio on the side as she continues her great graphic design work for tons of other business in this area and beyond.
I also love that her mom came to be a part of the session. I do not think I have ever had someone do that in their maternity session before and it was really cool to see them really make this a family event. As someone who lost her mom way before I should have, I only wish I had thought to do this. Again, it shows the importance of documenting our families, our children, our parents and our grandparents.
A little insight to Kate’s mom and what I found out after Kate’s maternity session regarding why it was so very important to them to have her be a part of the session. Over the past several months she has been fighting for her life and trying to overcome Breast Cancer. She has had a double mastectomy and is now fighting her way through chemotherapy. Her cancer was found from an annual mammogram on both sides. K & J’s Maternity photos were taken before her mom’s chemo started and the newborn photos were taken 1 week after her first round of chemo. Her Journey will not be an easy one but after meeting and working with her, I know she will not let it keep her down. She is doing awesome and is a perfect example of how you can fight, endure and SURVIVE this.
It was truly a pleasure working with every single one of them.
XOXO,

Love the oldness of this camera with this little guy’s amazingly soft and new skin. One of my other recent favorites.

Oh how I loved photographing this little guy. It seems like it was just last week that I shot Carter’s Newborn Session. I cannot believe how fast this year has gone by. His personality just shines right through those baby blues. I put Mom and Dad on the spot at the end of the session and talked them into going outside for a few fun family shots since Carter’s studio session was a breeze. I LOVE these images. LOVE THEM! Hopefully Mom and Dad are as pleased as I am with the results.
Have a great night!
