“Children seldom misquote you. In fact, they usually repeat word for word what you shouldn’t have said.”
Uhhhh….yeah, I had a moment this evening where this happened. Anyhow, live, learn, and bite my tongue.

It’s good to have a friend that can take pictures…
As many of my fellow photographer friends can attest to, it is a rarity that we end up in the photos as we are always behind the camera. Well, I recently got back from an incredible 11 day trip to ITALY! Many many photos to share(hundreds actually).
Nonetheless, one of my best friends Rebecca was also there. If you watch Grey’s Anatomy you know what I mean when I say she is “MY PERSON!” I am BLESSED to say I have a few friends like that in my life that I am oh so grateful for. Nonetheless, we did a couple’s photoshoot at our little Tuscan Villa and vineyard that we rented for a week of our journey and she captured these of Keith and I. I am so glad that we did these photos. An amazing, soulful, reconnection as a human being, wife, and friend is what this trip was about for me. If we accomplish even 1/2 of the goals we set on this trip as human beings alone, we just might save the world. LOL!
Thanks for the beautiful photos, Rebe! Keith and I thank you!
And a few from VENICE…

They had yet another beautiful Baby!!!
I told them they should just keep on going but they said they are done. I guess it is okay to simply stop at PERFECTION. Two perfect little girls, what more do you need? My Yellow Lab…That is all you need!!!
G&K, Congrats on your new addition. Your family is complete and a beautiful one at that.
Here is a sneak peek of what was captured during your session.

The “C” Family…
As you can see we have had tons of family sessions lately and tons of newborns. On top of that we are still doing high school seniors but winding everything down for the years end.
This family came in and were a lot of fun to work with. You can see from the images that they definitely had great relationships and the kids had great personalities.
This summer, Keith and I have attended 4 funerals all of which were people who seemed to be taken before what should have been their time. Some were taken tragically, unjustly, and violently. One was a 35 year old father with a wife and two children who are now left behind to pick up the pieces.
When I get the opportunity to capture families and document them TOGETHER, it makes me smile in knowing that they will have those photos and memories to forever remind them of the relationships they had with those closest to them. I love to capture my families in what I call “gallery style.” I do the whole group but also break it down so that in end they have options to create an amazing wall gallery displaying all of these relationships. This mom went nuts on her photos and I cannot wait to see her wall collections with all of these images.
It will definitley have the “WOW FACTOR” and make people who avoid family photos rethink the thought process, “Oh well, there is always next year” or “We are not sure we are done making our family so we are going to wait until we are for sure.” Sometimes we don’t have “Next year.” I know I have said this before but please do not forget to document your family, your children, your pets, and the things most important to you. You never know when it may be too late. Get out your cameras and start snapping away. You will then never regret it!
Enjoy! There are lots!

Check out this Family…
This beautiful family is near and dear to my heart. They have become some very close friends over the past few years as have our children. I love photographing them. They are the EPITOMY of S-T-Y-L-E! I NEVER EVER have to worry about what mom is going to bring. They always look great and I think they belong in a magazine!

Beautiful New Family
Oh how I loved working with this gorgeous new family. This couple asked me to do their wedding not long ago and I had stopped shooting weddings. I am so so SO glad they kept me in mind for their newborn photos. Dad was so attentive and in love with both mom and his new son. Check out this mom. She certainly did not look like she had just given birth. They are simply beautiful all the way around and I hope I get the opportunity to document their relationship in the future. ENJOY!

What $7.00 will do in Africa…
I think we call all come up with that kind of money. Just some food for thought!
Have a good day and do something today to make someone else happy. Help an elderly person with the door, smile at a complete stranger and say hello, ask someone how they are REALLY doing, bless someone in Africa with a gift of $7.00, Do something fun with your kids, let those closest to you know that you appreciate them. Buy the person behind you at Starbucks a coffee as you drive away. Stop and let a few cars in front of you even if you are in a hurry. Do ANY random act of kindness that you can think of. Help our country and our world change for the better. You get the idea.
Toodles!
Niki
DON’T FORGET TO VOTE TODAY!!!
JUST A LITTLE REMINDER NOT TO FORGET TO GO AND EXERCISE YOUR AMAZING RIGHT TO VOTE TODAY AND HAVE A SAY IN HOW THIS ELECTION TURNS OUT. REGARDLESS OF HOW THINGS TURN OUT, I JUST PRAY THAT SOME BIG CHANGES FOR THE GREATER GOOD OF OUR COUNTRY ARE ABOUT TO OCCUR. ALSO, DON’T FORGET YOUR ID. I HEARD THAT SEVERAL PEOPLE ARE FORGETTING THAT AFTER WAITING IN LINE FOR A LONG TIME. ENJOY THE GREAT WEATHER WE WERE BLESSED WITH. BRING A BOOK AND SOME WATER. ENJOY THE EXPERIENCE AND HOW COOL IT IS THAT WE THE PEOPLE ACTUALLY HAVE A SAY IN WHO OUR COUNTRY PUTS AS THE HEAD OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!!!
