How sweet is this little crown. The VERY PROUD Grandma of this little peanut bought this at a little boutique downtown. Mom looked so good. She did not even look like she just had a baby. Little Miss “L” has the most amazing big blue eyes I think I have ever seen on a newborn. She slept most of the time for me but we definitely had to use patience to get some of the shots…especially the ones with the crown. It was itchy!
I am on a streak here of awesome clients, parents, kids, and grandparents. I’m truly blessed for sure. Hopefully this continues through our crazy summer season.
Here she is…..

I had the honor of photographing this little munchkin yesterday. He was a healthy 9+ pounder and just 6 days old. Mom and Dad were so cute to watch. You could definitely see the bond they have with one another and the great sense of humor as well. A beautiful family indeed!!!
He was so good at first and then he really made me work for each and every one of the family shots. I am so glad I worked fast in the beginning. We were about to call it a day without the family shots and then we jammed out the radio to a little bit of Chris Daughtry. He immediately settled right down. He just needed some jams.
Mom and Dad…it was great to work with you. Here is your little sneak peak from the session. We have lots of great shots. Enjoy and thanks for being so great to work with.

(The images are slightly compressed. You can click on the image to enlarge it for better viewing.)This was a fun session for me. A little bit challenging but that is to be expected when you are photographing four kids. They were great kids though. I photographed them nearly 3 years ago. Mom brought them back to me looking for some fun images that she could create a wall collection with different groupings of images for her walls.
It is interesting when the parents are in the same room for pictures. My kids are the exact same way. It is often more challenging. I catch myself working better with them when I am by myself. Maybe because I get more goofy. I am not sure. Anyhow, to get to the point, mom trusted us and she got to go shopping not once, but twice during the session. My studio is located in the heart of Downtown Bay City so there are lots of cute little boutiques all over the place. As soon as she left I yelled, “IT’S PARTY TIME!!!”
So, we turned on the music and got down to business and were able to get some great images capturing these children and their relationship. I love this family. They are excellent parents and you can tell that they are very close.
I really need to get on the ball and get some shots like this of my children as I am starting to get jealous of all of the family stuff lately. It needs to be a priority. That is for another post though. I have something to say about people really making it a priority to document their children’s lives. It IS IMPORTANT and it is time you cannot get back.
Enjoy!

Are these not THE MOST SOULFUL EYES you have ever seen?

This young man reminds me of my CAMERON. An “old soul” He is a great kid for sure!

Meet the miniature Miss Drew Barrymore. What do you think? Doesn’t she look like her?

And….you guessed it….THE SPUNKY ONE. Meet Mr. Personality. I have a TON of this guy. Oh the faces. Saving those for mom to see first.

What I would give for a shot like this of my kids!!!

Last one for now…

This little guy has got to be an absolute NKP record as far as THE HAPPIEST BABY between the ages of 3 and 9 months of age to ever walk through my studio doors(okay he’s not walking yet. I guess I should say to ever be carried through my doors). He truly smiled the entire time and giggled at the slightest thing that I did.
Mr. Harrison was born with a heart defect and without getting too far into it, let’s just say that he has fought for his life way earlier than anyone should ever have too. He is so wonderful and happy now. I told mom I think he was just so happy to be here on this EARTH that everything else is a piece of cake after all that he has gone through. I guess once you have been through open heart surgery as a baby among many other things, the rest is gravy. A laid back little guy indeed. As were his parents.
What famous actress do you think mom looks like? Hmmmmmmm! Can you guess? I look forward to your comments on this one. Have a great day!

This was not a session. I just could not help myself. This is baby Cecelia whom you have probably seen before. I posted her newborn pictures on here on New Years Eve. You can check her out under the December archives.
OMG!!!! She is so darn cute. This is one of my daughter’s dance teachers little piece of perfection. While my Addy was at dance yesterday I decided to take Cecelia outside and just happened to have my camera in my car…IMAGINE THAT! It was an unbelievable 77 degrees out. So my friend Rachelle helped me hold her while I took some pics for mom (Rachelle is the buff one you see here in some of the pics) Anyhow, just thought I would share. Thanks for your help Rachelle.
I am so failing at keeping this blog up to date. My life is just crazy right now and we have been out of town endlessly. I WILL CATCH UP. I PROMISE.

Check out this face. I just love HER!!! Not sure if she will be a dancer like all of the other beautiful women in her family or if she will be a basketball, volleyball, soccer, and/or softball player. Only time will tell.

Loved this little one. She was a spunky little thing with a great spirit. I photographed her when she was just 3 months old with a whole head of red curly hair and now look at her. What I would give for a head of hair like that. Abby, it was great to work with you and I look forward to showing you the rest of these. We also need to get up to that amazing restaurant of yours. I have heard nothing but good things. Here is your sneak peek. Enjoy!

There couldn’t be a better title for this particular post. Last Thursday my assistant, Cassie and myself got to photograph two little miracles from HEAVEN and their adorable Big Sister. I have been waiting eagerly to get my hands on them and their cute little faces in my viewfinder for 4 weeks now. They just got out of the NICU about a week ago and I am telling you, they are so sweet, so tiny, and SO PERFECT in every way. They look totally different from one another. The little girl was 4.5 pounds and the big brother was 6 pounds in these images with all of the dark hair.
We photographed them in their home amongst some of the most amazingly beautiful designed rooms with fabrics and textures galore that would make any photographer drool. It took about 4 hours to get everything we wanted to get and even then I left wishing I had done more. They did so well and I am certain that if their doctors did not want them woke up every three hours to be fed, they would have slept through the night. LOL! We left absolutely exhausted and I know the babies had to be too.
Stephanie, thank you so much for blessing me as the photographer who got to document little Miss G, your pregnancy, and these miracle babies. It has been wonderful getting to know you and your family. Grandma too. Thank you so much for all of your help. It was much needed and you are a wonderful mother and grandmother. It makes me miss my mom even more.
Here is your sneak peak. I hope you love them as much as I do.

And last but NOT LEAST…my favorite image. I would do anything for an image like this of my 3 babes. I LOVE THIS IMAGE and hope mom and dad do too.

Meet Mr. Gunnar. He is the famous baby contest winner. He was such a little doll baby. Those blue eyes and that dimple on his cheek were TDF. Mom and Dad were a pleasure to meet and came from down state to have their session. Mom did VERY WELL at giving me LOTS to choose from with his impressive wardrobe as well which was an extra added perk.
This baby is a blessing and a MIRACLE in every sense of the word and his parents know it. What a great couple they are. Thank you for sharing him with me.
Enjoy!!!
